In rest?
Is there nothing that can be done?
Whenever there are made the annual accounting balances, the agricultural sector, and , with it, the food industry are amongst the best, recognizing the key role of these two branches in keeping afloat the Romanian economy. More than in at the time of analysis, when is the time of elections lots of promises from the government and political parties are made. And , 2014 is a year of political elections! What will the candidates for the European Parliament promise us? Or the candidates for the president chair ?
Until now, for years, investors require direct and ferm intervention of the authorities to create a business friendly environment , with no huge taxes, unfettered by a repressive legislation and tax system, with a fair balance of relationships between companies and control institutions etc. What did they achieve? Until now, almost nothing !
There is fair enough, if we refer to the food industry so far there has been achieved the reduction of VAT on bakery. But the rest? Everything is foggy and in this fog not even a donkey can be seen, but look, it appears the Hungarian pork, who enjoys a 5% VAT inside its country, and if imported by the Romanian processorsmakes the Romanian farmers to freeze because they see themselves in danger to remain with unsold raw material.
The example is very good, because if the taxes are not be reduced urgently, if the number of taxes is not reduced, if there are not created other facilities, not only the consumption will not be restarted, but it is likely that many companies to close, and from the shelves to be smiling imported products possibly those private label. And, this is generally true for any industry sector!
In an interview for Dairy Factory magazine rom. Fabrica de Lapte , we asked the President of APRIL Romanian Dairy Processors Association , Mr. Dorin Cojocaru, if the business environment has the power to influence the political class, in order to solve the situation. His answer was short and clear : lt;lt; No, because those working illegally on the black market have more money and can do in such a way to perpetuate the ambiguous situation existing now !gt;gt;
